International Center of Buddhist Studies
The center sits on a hilltop with a panoramic view of the Mediterranean, the Segaria Mountains and the Montgó Nature Reserve. We can accommodate up to 60 overnight guests onsite in spacious ensuite single and double rooms, as well as dormitories. We can also organise accommodation for larger groups in shared apartments at walking distance from the centre.
Our retreat center is modern and comfortable. It offers the most excellent conditions for practicing meditation and workshops, retreats and seminars. The silence and beauty of the center and its surroundings facilitates mental calmness and awakens the wisdom within. We remain at your service for any questions you may have.
History of the Center
The Dharma center was founded in 2006 with the enormous generosity, devotion and dedication to the Dharma of a patron who offered it to His Holiness the Sakya Trizin, our president and Spiritual Director. The center is managed by the Sakya Foundation, a non-profit organization that has as its mission the preservation of the Dharma for future generations and to develop projects which promote spiritual development and world peace through the philosophy and practice of Buddhism in general, and also specifically of the Sakya tradition, one of the four schools of Tibetan Buddhism.
